We are a home-based bakery, therefore we do not have a storefront. We offer pick-up by appointment only, and delivery in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland areas.
We offer delivery in the Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland areas. We have a flat fee of $20.00 for up to 23 miles. Anything over 24 miles is an additional .60 cents per mile.
Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services performs routine inspections on our kitchen once a year.
We suggest that you place your order as soon as possible to ensure your desired date is available. We can only fulfill a limited number of orders each week and we book on a first come, first serve basis. Please refer to the following as a guide for when to place your order. Also note that some orders may take longer depending on the season:
Absolutely! We understand that brides are busy and sometimes delays happen that are out of your control. Just contact us to send your request and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in.
A date is reserved when a contract is signed and sent back to us.
We don’t use fondant on our cakes because the taste is just not quite as yummy as meringue or buttercream! Our cakes are made simply and beautifully, rich with fresh ingredients and delicious flavor. A limited amount of fondant may be used for decorative purposes.
You can become a Corporate client if you are a local business that orders from Salt & Sugar on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
We do not offer cake tastings at this time.
We accept cash, check, and credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You can pay by credit card online, over the phone, or in person. Checks should be written out to Salt & Sugar, LLC.
We do not offer shipping at this time.
Yes, we do charge a $25.00 setup fee
All deposits are non-refundable. For cancellations with at least two weeks’ notice, credit may be given for a future order, subject to the date being available. There will be no refund for orders cancelled in less than two weeks of the event.
